	<description><![CDATA[Unix/Linux timestamps are the number of seconds since midnight, January 1, 1970 GMT (referred to as the Epoch). They are much easier to programmatically manipulate than date/time strings. <br /><br />For example, if you need to refer to 10 days from today, it is easier to add (10 days * 24 hours * 60 minutes * 60 seconds) seconds to the current timestamp than it is to program all that "30 days hath September, April, June and November" horsepuckey.<br /><br />After re-creating this simple script for several projects, it occurred to me - why not publish this somewhere so I can reuse it? So here it is.<br /><br /> ]]></description>

	<description><![CDATA[GetDeb is an unofficial project with the mission to provide the latest open source and freeware applications for the current Ubuntu Linux release, in an easy to install manner.<br /><br />The GetDeb repository extends the official repositories by providing latest versions and new applications. Unlike the official packages, GetDeb packages do not have a predefined release schedule - new software versions are provided as they become available from their authors.<br /><br />There is a short and limited testing phase instead of a full testing cycle to ensure packaging quality, however it is less strict than Ubuntu's official requirements.<br /><br />You may also be interested on the UbuntuBackports project.
